Our team includes several retired flag officers who have led numbered Fleets, carrier strike groups, and other large operational and tactical level organizations to include surface warfare, aviation, Cyber, Space, Special Warfare, and Logistics commands. Uniquely, FMG is the only company that includes a cadre of retired Navy and Marine Corps instructors who possess not only decades of military experience but also decades of experience as U.S. Naval War College (often recognized as the premier maritime war college in the world) professors teaching both flag and staff level students both from the US and nations around the globe.
FMG will tailor its instruction to meet the client’s objectives, budget, desired number of students, language preference, and time constraints. We can build scenarios that mirror our client’s most pressing national security challenges. The length of our courses can be tailored to meet the client’s objectives to include conducting half-day sessions to accommodate the operational tempo of the client.
FMG understands that it is extremely expensive to send a small number of officers to U.S. or other nation’s military institutions for significant periods of time to learn how to better plan or implement proven, successful processes that improve an organization’s ability to prepare for, command and control, execute, and assess maritime operations.
In short, there is often a very limited return on an organization’s investment. In contrast, the structure of FMG educational services allows organizations to significantly increase student throughput at a reasonable price without the burden of having to spend funds on travel, lodging, and per diem. Course length is not pre-determined but rather is based on client objectives. FMG offers courses and advisory services that complement each other and allow our clients to develop student "tracks" wherein students may take an introductory course in year 1 and then a more advanced course in year 2.
Our courses and advisory services are designed to be integrated to help junior staff, senior staff, and Commanders increase their understanding of their respective roles in making their organization more effective and efficient. For example, our 2 week and 3 week staff planning courses are designed such that Commanders and senior leaders can be integrated before each step of the planning process thus providing a realistic setting for learning. Our retired Flag officers can then mentor senior leaders based on their decades of experience leading contingency and crisis planning.
